State Library Victoria’s forecourt offers a rare patch of grass and trees within Melbourne’s CBD. Adjacent to Melbourne Central and QV shopping centres and RMIT, it is a very high traffic zone and offers plenty of space and opportunity to engage with the pedestrians.
The forecourt is accessible from all angles and visible from street side, including the trams servicing La Trobe and Swanston Streets and Melbourne Central station across the road.
The forecourt is approximately 350m2 including grassed and paved spaces. There is an abundance of 240V and 32A 3-phase power. Vehicle access can be arranged from La Trobe street.
The Library’s forecourt is well positioned to host a number of commercial promotions and is ideal for pop-up activations, product launches, audience surveys, performances and performances.
The Library hosted over 280 corporate experiences in 2018-19 and is home to festival events year-round. It has a rich history of hosting outstanding commercial activations from Food trucks, Football clubs, satellite University Open Day events to major festivals like White Night.
