Bridal Photography at the State Library with Twice Blessed
Ever thought about a wedding shoot at the State Library? Well the girls from Twice Blessed did just that, and it was spectacular.
Despite its 150+ year history, the State Library Victoria and its spectacular spaces are still a well-kept secret sitting in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Known by local university students and academics within the building, few others have stepped foot through the Swanston Street columns and experienced the exciting labyrinth within.

The day began early at 6am on-site for hair and makeup but it was certainly worth the effort. A formidable team made the day moving through the Library (in some gorgeous gowns) a breeze. Styling was undertaken by Styled by Bloom, makeup was done by LD Makeup Artistry and their hair by Gabrielle Roccuzzo.
This wasn’t the ladies’ first rodeo either, making use of all the neutral elements and beautiful features the library has to offer. Natural light streaming through the overhead dome in the La Trobe Reading Room, on top of the oak desks, with the external stone façade making for a classic architectural backdrop. The contrast of the heritage spaces with the elegant gowns made for an alluring spectacle.
Wedding Photography is available at the State Library through the weddings team at Showtime Event Group along with access to unique and publicly closed areas.
